Welcome to AFF

Automated Flight Following (AFF) is a system that automatically tracks the location and velocity of specially-equipped aircraft and mobile assets, providing this information in near-real-time to dispatchers, aviation managers, and other authorized users. The equipment includes geolocation and data communications devices that use satellite-based technology. AFF only tracks resources with this specialized equipment from approved providers.

AFF Training

Whether you are new to AFF or an experienced user, we strongly recommend you utilize the following resources to become familiar with all the ins and outs of AFF. You just may learn something new you didn't know about AFF.

AFF 2.0

The next generation of AFF lets you view your aviation assets is a 2D environment. Find aircraft by call sign, tail number, or inside an elastic box. Create your own custom ramp list for frequently tracked aircraft. Center the view on an aircraft by selecting the aircraft in your search or ramp list. Set your preferred view with "Set Home" and return to it with the click of the "Go Home" button.

AFF 2.0 uses the latest in web technology and will run in Windows, OS X, and Linux. Besides you computer, AFF 2.0 will also run on Android, iOS, and Windows 8 mobile devices for those needing AFF on the go at remote helibases and retardant bases.

For changes to existing aircraft in AFF, please include: the registration number and information pertaining to the changes needed. If switching modems, please provide the service provider, IMEI/ESN, and device model. For new aircraft requests, please email the following information:

AFF Google Earth KML

AFF is not available in Google Earth at this time. We are in the process of rebuilding it and don't have a projected time for when the .kml will be back up. Please check back at a later time.
