As part of the OneUSDA, the Forest Service is changing all email accounts to use the @usda.gov domain name.
Please register for a new account using your new @usda.gov email address.
What You Need To Do
Identify the correct @usda.gov email address that's been assigned to you by following the instructions (with screenshots) at the bottom of KBA00085015: FS: Email Standard Signature Block or by doing the following:
- Open Outlook.
- Select the Home tab (top left), then select Address Book (in the "Find" group on the top right).
- On the pop-up window, select Global Address List from the dropdown menu underneath where is says "Address Book" (top right).
- Enter your name (last name first) in the Search field (top left). Your name should appear at the top of the address book entry list below the Search field. Double-click on your name in the list.
- In the new pop-up window, select the Email Address tab.
- Find your new @usda.gov email in the list shown. Your new email address will be preceded by a lower case smtp and in the format of firstname.lastname@usda.gov.
- Example: smtp:john.doe@usda.gov
- Note: To ensure uniqueness, your email address may also include a middle initial or a number, but your new email address includes only an @usda.gov (not @mgd.usda.gov or @usdagcc.mail.onmicrosoft.com).
